Hosting the Perfect Summer Party

There’s nothing quite like making the most of the beautiful summer evenings by enjoying garden parties and barbeques. If you fancy hosting a summer party, but the idea of hosting a crowd of guests in your house causes you stress - don’t panic. With a little careful planning and organisation, you can throw a perfect summer bash that will go off without a hitch. Here, we’ve collated a few handy pointers to help you host a party that your guests will love, with minimum stress. Read on to find out more.

Have a theme

A really nice idea, and a good way to get you started if you don’t really know where to begin, is choosing a theme.

Having a theme can help you dictate what sort of décor, drinks, food and music you have at your party. So with this in mind, choose something that you can achieve with the time and resources you have. If you need a little inspiration, we’ve shared a few ideas to get your theme up and running:

●Spanish or Mexican theme - with spicy food and margaritas, this is something everyone will enjoy and gives you the perfect excuse to get a pinata in and have some fun in the sun!

●A bake-off theme - this is a perfect family favourite and will also encourage guests to bring a few tasty baked treats along.

Get your lighting right

If you’re sat outside while it’s getting dark, your eyes will need to adjust. Try hanging a string of lights on the deck, the fence, and even tree branches, then add a couple of lanterns for tealights. In addition to this, elegant round bulbs will give off a warm glow for when the evening starts to get a little more chilly.

Make the most of your outdoor space

Is there anything more idyllic than soaking up the sun in your own private sanctuary? If you’re lucky enough to have a garden or outside space, you’ll definitely want to incorporate it into your party planning. This way, you’ll be able to make the most of the summer weather, and you’ll have more space for fun and games too. Just remember to make sure that you’ve got enough outdoor seating: in an instant, you could lay out some blankets and cushions for guests to sit on instead of chairs.

Are you planning to host a summer party at home this year? Well, it's often the case that the toilet facilities we have at home are not always sufficient for catering to everyone. First established in 1979, our team has been providing top-quality portable serviced toilet hire to businesses and community groups for over 37 years. Get in touch to find out more.
